The project work group carried out a survey about the creation of bibliographic resources in the libraries, information centers and other institutions of Latvia. Part of the questionnaires was filled out incompletely and not all organizations working on creation of resources submitted data about their work.Therefore the data base includes information only about the resources indicated in the surveys. 

The database provides information about 436 bibliographic resources:

• Bibliographic indexes  72,
• Card files 308,
• Data bases  56.

Most of bibliographic resources are created in the public libraries. 

The most significant creator of bibliographic resources is the National Library of Latvia, who has created 46card files, 6 databases and 9bibliographic indexes. 

At present most of the bibliographic resources are in the form of card files. The number of bibliographic databases is constantly increasing.
